Moraine Preservation Fund has
released approximately 250 birds in the last seven
years. This however is the first birds to be tracked
with telemetry. The Satellite Telemetry project has
been funded by The Pittsburgh Foundation, Peaceable
Kingdom Fund, the Pittsburgh Zoo and an anonymous donor.
The project is part of an effort to re-establish barn
owl populations in Western Pennsylvania. |

A
gleaming stealth space ship carrying awesome unique toys
for “kids and their kids too”!
The inside of Playthings Etc. has a 9'
high oval star window with an actual constellation
pattern for the end of December. There is a huge
"control panel" in front of the star field so that
visitors can "fly the spaceship". The rest of the store
interior contains specialty lighting including three
huge "navorite" stealth-shaped lights that change into
1000 different shades of color every minute.
Toy
demonstrations daily (Tues - Sat), indoors and
outdoors. We fly aircraft and helos and other
crafts, launch rockets, demo pogo sticks and r/c
boats and cars, etc. One of our recent new toys
is a plasma car that visitors (of all ages) can
ride through the store.
